The Moonlight Diner has been serving Harlan's Creek continuously since 1962. We are open late. Really late. Breakfast all day, blue plate specials, and bottomless coffee.
Booths available. We don't rush you. We're used to waiting.
"Come in. Sit down. We'll take care of you."
Some booths may be reserved. You'll know which ones.
We ask that patrons experiencing time loss notify staff before ordering. This helps us prepare appropriately.
During fog events, coffee refills are complimentary. Stay as long as you need.
The Moonlight Diner opened in 1962 on Creek Road, Harlan's Creek. It has not closed since. Not once. Not for renovations, not for severe weather, not for any of the events that have occasionally required us to draw the blinds and ask patrons to remain seated until further notice.
We serve breakfast all day. Our blue plate specials rotate weekly. Our coffee is bottomless. We have never run out of coffee. We do not intend to start now.
The original owner, Harold "Bud" Reeves, operated the diner from 1962 until 1987, at which point ownership transferred to the current management under circumstances that are a matter of public record, though the relevant documents are held by the Caldwell County clerk's office and are not available for online viewing.
We have served every sheriff, every mayor, every pastor, and every stranger who walked through that door not knowing quite why they stopped. We have never turned anyone away. We do not intend to start now.
The diner seats 42. Booth seating is first-come, first-served, with the exception of the corner booth by the east window, which is reserved. It has always been reserved. We ask that you respect this.
